PFW Day 4, which was the last day was full of surprises for everyone. The showcasing for today were: Abdul Samad, Iman Ahmd of the Body Focus Museum, Deepak Perwani, Sana Safinaz,Feeha Jamshed, Honey Waqar and Tapu Javeri Hand Bag Collection.
Abdul Samad’s fashion show was inspired from our great Quaid-e-Azam, but it failed to have any sort of fashion impact on the spectators. There were just a wide range of dresses like suits, sherwanis, barrister wardrobe and the casual British attire. The models were not able to give justification to the clothes and wear them as gracefully as Mr. Jinnah would have worn it.
Iman Ahmed of The Body Focus Museum nailed the show with elegant drapers and off-shoulder net frocks that looked exceptional when fashion models clad them to walk the ramp. The cuts were bold and exquisite with tilted hemlines and fasten waistlines. She used mostly white and black in her clothes.
Deepak Perwani brought beauty and grace in his fashion show. He used colours like champagne, beige, mantis green, and tans in his formal and party wear. The shoulder-less short dresses along with tunics and flirty part dresses were carried amazingly by the models.
Feeha Jamshed paid tribute to her late sister with her collection entitled “Minnaal”. Her sister passed away tragically in Paris last year. The collection depicted super sober outfits that a sophisticated lady prefers to wear. There was pairing of red, black, bronze, orange and off white attires consisted of long classical skirts, shirts and coats.
Sana Safinaz, the famous duo Sana Hashwani and Safinaz Munir banged the show with their knee short dresses. The clothes were made of floral embellishments in golden. All outfits had dominant black and golden in embroidery or as a basic fabric.
Honey Waqar unfolded fairy tale dreaminess at the show. She also used Victorian inspired merchesa dresses. She used colours like flirty and pretty pink, fuchsia, golden, and beige fairy tale themed dresses contrasting floral embellishments on the borders or the shoulders making the attires more fascinating.
Tapu Javeri collaborated with Atiya Khan's abayas fashion show where he showcased his latest hand bags collection. The collection had imprinted faces of his best friends against the background of Karachi’s landmarks. In my opinion, the pairing of such perky hand bags was not a good match with Atiya Khan’s abayas collection, but hand bag lovers still caught an eye at it and they were most intrigued with it. Fashion models like Ayyan, Nadia Hussain, Iraj and Frieha Altaf also walked the ramp carrying the bags.
